HANS
A HANS or ‘Home Area Network Server’ is specifically designed for the Network Communication demands of large, complex home automation and entertainment systems. Normally customers rely on ADSL routers to control the communication of their home networks, however ADSL Routers aren’t designed with enough computing power to handle large complex networks with high traffic volumes.
With this knowledge and through years of experience we have developed the HANS-G5 server.
A HANS is a business-class LINUX server built with an uber fast Intel CPU, taking care of normal router functions such as timer server, network routing, DNS, DHCP and firewall. As the HANS has far superior processing capacity than a router these tasks are performed faster, stronger and more reliably.
This leaves your ADSL router to do what it does best – simply serve you the Internet!
